TikTok URL embed video (NOT GDPR compliant)

GDPR Status: NOT compliant: cookies load before consent

This is a TikTok video embedded by pasting a TikTok URL into the HubSpot video module. This method is NOT GDPR compliant and should not be used on pages that require cookie consent.

Why it fails GDPR compliance: When a TikTok URL is used, TikTok's response includes tracking scripts that execute immediately on the page, setting cookies before the user has a chance to consent. The Video Privacy Manager cannot intercept these scripts.

How it differs from iframe embed: The iframe embed method (recommended) keeps TikTok content contained in a single iframe that the Video Privacy Manager can block. The URL method injects scripts directly into the page, bypassing consent controls entirely.

Expected behavior: TikTok content and tracking cookies load immediately without user consent. No consent overlay appears.

Recommendation: Use the iframe embed method instead (see TikTok iframe embed above).

GDPR Status: Blocked: not supported by the Video Privacy Manager

Facebook video embeds are deliberately blocked and not supported. Loading a Facebook video iframe causes Facebook to set multiple tracking cookies immediately, and there is no reliable way to prevent this.

Why Facebook is not supported: Unlike YouTube, Vimeo, and Wistia, Facebook does not provide a clean embed path that can be controlled by the Video Privacy Manager. Facebook's embed infrastructure loads tracking scripts and cookies as soon as the iframe appears on the page.

Expected behavior: The video is blocked to prevent cookies from loading on the page. No consent overlay is shown: the embed simply does not render.

Recommendation: Do not embed Facebook videos on GDPR-compliant pages. If a Facebook video must be shown, consider linking to it instead of embedding it.
