How To Use This Module

Display information in a grid-like format of rows and columns. This module organizes information in a way that’s easy to scan on every device through sticky Header Rows, Header Columns and Full Width Section Header Rows so that visitors can gather patterns and develop insights from data. Especially useful for comparing products or features.

Use Cases

Flexible Table Structure

Support for column headers, row labels, full-width section header rows, and rich-text cells with images, lists, and CTAs.

Cell Customization

Add check/x icons, rich text content, and CTAs to individual cells.

Mobile Truncation

On mobile, tall tables are automatically truncated with an expand/collapse button to improve usability.

Overflow Indicators

Visual blur gradients appear when the table overflows horizontally to indicate scrollable content.

Accessibility

Proper semantic HTML with ``, ``, `scope`, `headers` attributes, and ARIA labels for icons. Optional table name appears as a caption.

Guidelines

Character Count

  • Limit column labels to 2 or 3 words
  • No specific character limit for table item descriptions

Things to Know

  • Optional checkbox icons for each comparison cell (good for outlining available product features)
  • Use the Full-Width Header Row to divide sections on the table
  • If you're looking for a simple way to compare items, use the Feature List module
